MAUI COMEDY FESTIVAL

From October 30th through November 2nd 2014, the “Best Island in the World” (according to Conde Nast Traveller readers) played host to the first annual Maui Comedy Festival. This event brought a three-day, multi-venue comedy showcase to the historic town of Lahaina. Attendees experienced more than 30 of today’s funniest and smartest comics, including Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Kyle Kinane and Aisha Tyler. The Maui Comedy Festival was the single largest destination comedy festival in the US with an aggregate media footprint of 15 million impressions and trended for the duration of the festival in the Twitter Top 10 for Hawaii.

The Maui Comedy Festival was not only the largest destination comedy festival in the US, but also a labor of love created by Cerebral Itch co-founder, Paul Chamberlain. All branding, web presence and social media came from this agency.

Catching the wave from the success of the 2014 Maui Comedy Festival, we kept the laughs going by producing a 2015 summer series featuring some of the most respected names in comedy - Jim Jefferies, Sinbad and Patton Oswalt at the 1250-seat Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
